Paranormal at Our House in Locust Grove

The House of Phacops is a rock shop. Is situated on a small 1 acre patch of land at the intersection of S.R. 41 and S.R. 73, just 3 miles from the Great Serpent Mound State Park. An Ancient Sacred Indian ceremonial and Burial site Dating back as far as 400 BC. The house is on the Southeastern edge of a 5 mile wide impact meteorite crater that sits on top of a miles deep 17.5 km long fault that emits a constant flow of positive energy.
The house, built by a banker and Freemason Ezekiel Arnold in the 1800s.
The bottom bay with the sunrise reflection is the parlor. The house has been in addition to a home, an Inn a Brothel and Tannery In the past, the Parlor room was used for viewing the deceased members of the family. A small family cemetery occupies the backyard and wandering spirits have been known to pass through at times and been seen inside and out of the house. The Town undertaker use to own this house but he abandoned it for 20 years cause in his words I don't like spooks. Then Thomas Johnson bought it about 20 years ago

Ezekiel is always happy when the Stair Case is Swept.

The Great Serpent Mound is a 1,348-foot (411 m)-long,[3] three-foot-high prehistoric effigy mound on a plateau of the Serpent Mound crater along Ohio Brush Creek in Adams County, Ohio. Maintained within a park by Ohio History Connection, it has been designated a National Historic Landmark by the United States Department of Interior. The Serpent Mound of Ohio was first reported from surveys by Ephraim Squire and Edwin Davis in their historic volume Ancient Monuments of the Mississippi Valley, published in 1848 by the newly founded Smithsonian Museum.

Researchers have at different times attributed construction of the mound to two different prehistoric indigenous cultures. Originally thought to be Adenain origin, a 1996 carbon dating study led scholars to believe the mound was built by members of the Fort Ancient culture around 1070 CE.[4] More recent carbon dating done in 2014 places the mound's construction at around 300 BCE, once again suggesting Adena construction.[5] Serpent Mound is the largest serpent effigy in the world

Crater at Serpent Mound
By Thomas Johnson
Ohio is an ancient sea bed dating back hundreds of millions of years, to a time when the earth was covered with a salt water sea. Its fossil-rich sediments extend more than 5000 feet deep. Located on the edge of the Appalachian Mountain Escarpment, the Serpent Mound Crater has unusual geology, which dates back about 600 million years to the pre-Cambrian period. Rocks exposed in the crater date from 438 million to 345 million years old.
At that time there was a “T” shaped fault in the sea floor just east of Serpent Mound, running north-south along the sea floor from Sinking Spring to Locust Grove, and east-west parallel to Parker Ridge Road. Over 300 million years ago an asteroid or meteor collided with the seabed, creating a crater 5 miles wide. This is the only place on earth where an object from space has collided with a rift or fault in the earth’s surface.
The impact created magnetic anomalies across the crater. The faulting in the crater has a direct effect on the weather, causing severe storms to dissipate as they approach the rim. Local residents tell of the batteries on vehicles and cell phones being mysteriously drained.
Scientists have speculated since the 1830’s about the Serpent Mound Disturbance. In 1838 John Locke termed it the “Sunken Mountain” due to the geology turned upside down. In 1925 Walter Bucher renamed the area a “Crypto-Volcanic” structure, theorizing that the area exploded from beneath the surface. This theory is still reflected in the bronze marker which overlooks the crater from Woodland Altars on State Route 41.
Moon rocks brought back by Apollo Astronauts finally unlocked the mystery. The moon is covered with impact craters, unaffected by time due to the lack of atmosphere. Most impact craters have Breccia, a rock that has been blasted apart and re-formed to resemble concrete. Comparing the moon rocks to Serpent Mound Breccia, NASA researchers found a tiny Quartz particle called a PDF, slightly larger than a human hair.
PDF stands for Planar Deformation, meaning that the micro-quartz is etched with tiny straight lines which can only be made by high velocity impact. You could call the PDF a “smoking gun”. Breccia from the Serpent Mound crater also contains trace elements from the asteroid such as Cobalt, Chromium, Nickel, Iron, Zinc, and Iridium, a rare element usually associated with space rocks and impact craters.
Then image below is of a shatter cone from the area. It is the shock wave as it travels through the bed rock. The impression on the rock fans out in the direction of the shock wave and makes a cone shaped pattern.

Underwater Serpent

There exists in the waters of the Ohio Brush Creek adjacent to the Great Serpent Mound effigy in Adams County, Ohio, a much older, but also in prehistory-a possibly-greatly revered -other -Serpent effigy.

You can find this second Serpent by taking the path to the left of the driveway, at the bottom of the driveway at the entrance to the Serpent Mound Park, and walking towards the Serpent Mound, a couple of hundred feet, along the shoreline of the Ohio Brush Creek. This other Serpent effigy is a large stone boulder that is ignored by our experts today. “ It’s just a river rock…”.

This magnificent second Serpent would have been interpreted as the “ Under Water Panther Serpent”, ruler of the Underworld and of the waters and rivers- of middle earth. The ancient people who lived in the Valley, would have appreciated this formation. The Under Water Panther Serpent matches their myths and legends. It is the type of object they would observe. The Underwater Panther Serpent may indeed be the original Serpent Mound Valley- Serpent -and its location below the Serpent Mound effigy hill, may be one of the reasons why the later occupants of this special Valley choose the hilltop above it as the setting for the Great Serpent Mound effigy.

E.G. Squire one of the original archeologists to map the Ohio mounds and other sacred native sites, in Ohio and elsewhere, for the Smithsonian Institute wrote:

“The superstitions of the Indians extended to remarkable objects in nature. A tree or stone of singular form seldom failed to command their reverence. A stone which, from the action of natural causes, has assumed the general form of a man or an animal, is especially an object of regard …”.
E.G. Squier, Antiquities of the State of New York, Smithsonian Contributions to Knowledge, Vol. II, 1851
There is a magical feel to the Water Serpent- Grotto that is worth a small side trip, to anyone who comes to visit the Great Serpent Mound effigy-above the Water Serpent. At nearly 25 feet in length, there is no way that native people who walked, fished, and hunted along this rivers edge-for over a thousand years -would have failed to notice this other “Water Serpent” effigy stone.

We know that this “Water Serpent “effigy was worshipped by the people of the Valley by the fact that they carved numerous rocks and stones in its shape and form. The people of the Serpent Mound Valley left us various images in rock and stone that both show us who they were and about their religious beliefs.
